Sunday Evening Meditation Group

Sunday evenings: 6:30-8:30pm

 

The Sunday evening group is a weekly practice group open to all who wish to join. This is a peer-led group and starts with 30 minutes of guided meditation, followed by exploration of a mindfulness/Buddhist topic and discussion.

 

Music of the Heart Sangha

Sunday mornings: 9:30-11:00am

 

Music of the Heart Sangha began in September 2011 and practices in the Plum Village Tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. They are an inclusive, non-secular group, open to all that are interested in practicing the way of awareness, understanding, peace and joy. Their weekly practice includes sitting, walking and eating meditation.


Tai Chi

Beginners
Wednesdays: 6:30-7:20pm

 

In this 8-week Introduction to tai chi you will learn stretching and warm up exercises, qigong breathing, the fundamental principles of tai chi and the first part of the Yang Style Long Form. Perfect for those just getting started on those who want to take the course again as a refresher. Ages 18 and up.

Intermediate
Wed: 7:30-8:30 pm

 

This 8-week class open to those who have completed the beginner course, focuses first and foremost on taking your practice of the first part of the form deeper -- refining it through instructor feedback, learning how to better incorporate the spinal wave and the breath, adding some movements that were not taught in the beginner course. Additionally, students will continue to learn postures of the long form.
